Ken Ken is an independent patient advocate mainly focusing on healthcare equity, caregivers, and patient isolation issues. Ken was in the software industry for 30 years spanning roles from programmer to executive VP. After a merger he was left without a seat and due to impacts from health issues adopted then mantra, “If can’t make a buck, time to make a difference.” He has coupled his professional skills with 35 years of health issues experience from multiple cancers, surgeries, and dealing with the healthcare insurance industry. Part of his history involved a botched surgery that had a transformational aspect to his life, he is now working for change. Ken does volunteer advocacy for AARP, American Cancer Society and is involved not only with MAPS, Stratis Health COC, Academy Health, and Right Care Alliance. He served for 10 years as the Consumer Engagement Representative on the MN MDH eHealth Advisory Committee. |
