Lisa Lisa is a member of the Minnesota Alliance for Patient Safety Community Advisory Council since 2020. She has been a patient advisor with the Allina Patient and Family Partnership Program (PFPP) for seven years (2014 - present) and twelve years as a patient advisor for The Birth Center at United Hospital in St. Paul (1998-2000). She represented The Birth Center at two national conferences of The Institute for Patient and Family Centered Care and was co-presenter with Allina PFPP staff at the Beryl Institute conference in Dallas in 2016. She is currently a member of the Planetree International Patient and Family Partnership Council. She has presented the council’s work at the Fall 2022 conference in Baltimore and at the October 2023 conference in Boston. Lisa is a Minnesota Master Naturalist focused on birding. She is co-leader for the Minnesota Youth Bird Club. She is a member of the MN Ornithologists’ Union and both Audubon Chapters in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Lisa received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Minnesota Ornithologist's Union in 2019. Lisa is an active volunteer for Mississippi National River and Recreation Area National Park (MNRRA) and has organized and led birding programs for the park. She was honored with the 2022 Volunteer of the year Award from MNRRA. She created and currently leads bird clubs for Gilda’s Club Twin Cities and Minnesota Independence College and Community (A residential vocational and life skills program for neurodiverse young adults.) Lisa received the Community Champion Award from MICC in 2023. |
